The JR Mother Buoy will help you stand out in
a crowd-less swell and provide some reassurance. Developed with marine
photojournalist Bob Whorton, one of these units allowed Bob to recover three
divers from a rapid tidal situation in the Maldives.
As a buoyancy aid at the surface, divers can group together, and with two or
more units coupled together, turn it into an emergency floating platform.
Strobes or torches can be mounted on the top end.
This DSMB takes a 0.25L air supply and is fitted with an auto dump. It remains
fully full and rigid until manually deflated. The unit rolls up neatly and can
be carried in an Aquatec tool pouch that clips to your Leg or BCB.
